A preview of HUMAN LANDSCAPES featuring Germana Civera & Core Dance

We went to speak with Spanish Choreographer, Germana Civera, at Core Dance studios, to preview her collaboration with Core entitled “Human Landscapes”. As in other choreographies, Germana touches on the topics of migrations of beings, gestures, and stories. She draws on her family’s own years in exile during the Spanish Civil War to create a multi-sensory performance in which the audience moves throughout the venue, following eight dancers on a migrant journey. Human Landscapes is part of this year’s France Atlanta week, and it will be performed on the main gallery at the B Complex in Atlanta.

me 11 au di 15 avril

Ruth Childs, on s’en souvient, simulait à l’aide d’un drap une baignoire, levait une jambe, se prélassait, mutine et lunaire. C’était la saison dernière à l’ADC, Ruth réinterprétait alors les solos de sa tante Lucinda Childs créés un demi-siècle plus tôt. Une belle transmission.

Aujourd’hui, la jeune artiste largue les amarres et se lance, en tandem avec le musicien et performer Stéphane Vecchione, sur les voies de l’enchantement et du désenchantement. Ensemble, ils cultiveront l’ambiguïté des sens dans une suite de situations abstraites, absurdes ou inédites. A voir comme une grande collection.

Primeira experiência da performance "Plástico Cruel", irei partilhar mais videoas desta performance, quando estiver mais pensada e preparada. Este trabalho fala da forma como tratamos os animais, embalando o em plástico para comermos (em forma de comida), em porta chaves (japão) onde os pobres animais quase não tÊm tempo de vida e são usados como objeto, quando jogamos plástico para o mar, rio ou mesmo terra e os animais acabam por os comer ou ficar presos nesses plástico... todas essas ações que temos envolvem o plástico e uma certa claustrofobia.... esse é o meu trabalho.
