No Clue

This installation aspires to play around with the perception of time. If we are deprived of all stimuli that help us define time, then what will remain?
This question has inspired Hurkens to create this installation by depriving the visitor of all hints that might indicate time to some extent. Take for example, the lack of clothing, tattoos, earrings or characteristic hairstyles from a specific time period.
Furthermore, the movements cannot be defined as dancing and neither are they mundane activities. Also the sound, which is not synchronous and regularly changes volume, deprives the visitor of a sense of time. It has a notion of endlessness.
The artist hereby hopes to evoke an emotion which the modern human does not regularly experience anymore.
For the online version the film is not endless. This only gives a glimpse of the intended result.
